An obscure policy gives salaried Portland employees up to 80 hours of extra vacation, way more than other Oregon governments hand out.

Entitlement attitudes embraced by government employees, especially in Portland, permeate the class.  The outrageous compensation and benefits for the scope, type, and utility of work performed is embarrasingly out of whack when compared to the typical taxpayer in the private sector.  The prvate sector citizen has become the sharecropper of old.. government being the new slavemaster.
