Bill Would Help States Get Out of Common Core

A Republican senator’s bill would prohibit the federal government from “mandating, incentivizing or coercing” states into adopting education standards.

Local control of schools is, and always has been, of paramount importance.  The effort by the federal government to control cirriculum is just ONE of the "dumb down" priorities that the federal government has tried to impose on our government school system.   IT’s time to force the federal government to be forced to stay within it’s limited role, as set forth by the Constitution.  Big Government is the enemy of accountability, budget sanity, and freedom.
